you draw Yamato with happy flowers sometimes, but do you think he ever gets angry or sad flowers?

i do draw yamato with happy flowers sometimes! i also draw him with flustered flowers sometimes...

the way i think of it is that, if the feeling is something which buzzes, which brings energy (things like anxiety, excitement, determination) can cause him to burst out in flowers or other plant life Accidentally if he's not careful to modulate his feelings + his chakra

as for sadness, that's generally an emotion that we think of as being relatively exhausting. i think if he were to accidentally burst out in sad flowers, it would have to be one of the heightened, high energy kinds of sadness, like the kind of shaking body-wracking tremors of grief, which is accompanied often by such sharp bursts of frustration.

if he were just in a general kind of low sadness, i think he'd have to be growing the flowers intentionally

as for anger, as i interpret him, i don't think of him growing flowers during that at all! for many people, anger is a feeling of heightened energy—like, if yamato's expressions of anger looked anything like Naruto's or Sakura's, for example, i could see him bursting out in plant life easily!

but he doesn't have those kind of strong reactions when he's angry. i think that his anger sits in his stomach, cold, heavy and unmoving, and i think that'd be more likely to kill flowers than to grow any.
